Viaplay: P. Nørrelund reappointed EVP & chief sports & sports business development, C. Gave departs

Peter Nørrelund has been reappointed executive vice president and chief sports & sports business development at Viaplay group following the departure of Cecilia Gave, who had initially replaced Peter Nørrelund in this position on 23/05/2023, announced the Swedish audiovisual group on 14/06/2023.

Nørrelund will also be responsible for the development of sports activities, and will report to Jorgen Madsen Lindemann, appointed CEO of the Viaplay group following the resignation of Anders Jensen (CEO from March 2018 to June 2023), on 05/06/2023.

"Peter Nørrelund will hold overall responsibility for Viaplay Group's sports operations and sports rights management and acquisitions in all markets. In addition, he will lead a new cross-market sports business development unit that will focus on maximising revenue and product opportunities for the Group's sports content," explained Viaplay.
