The 2023 NBA Finals, won by the Denver Nuggets versus the Miami Heat (4-1 in the series), drew an average of 11.6 million viewers, a 6% drop in the average audience compared to 2022, on the general-interest channel ABC (The Walt Disney Company group), according to data from the American institute Nielsen communicated by the website ESPN (same group), on 13/06/2023.

"ABC, ESPN and TNT (a channel belonging the North American audiovisual group Turner Sports, owned by the media and entertainment conglomerate Warner Bros. Discovery) averaged 5.47 million viewers per game during the NBA playoffs, the most-watched playoffs in five years," said ESPN.

"Game 5 averaged 13.084 million viewers, according to Nielsen. That was a four-year high, slightly beating out last year's NBA Finals Game 5 between the Warriors and Celtics (13.016 million)," added ESPN.
