Future of Sport: "The Women's Euro 2022 was enormous for women's football" (S. Black, Liverpool FC)

"The Euros last year (Women's Euro 2022), were enormous for women's football. A couple of years ago the media would cover Liverpool Women but not to any extent that what we're seeing today. Now we're seeing, the BBC, Sky, national newspapers and all the big players, having a women specific sports section. It's not male journalists writing about women's sport, it's dedicated sections with dedicated media," said Susan Black, director of communications at Liverpool FC and executive director of Liverpool FC Women (Barclays Women's Super League), on 15/06/2023.

Susan Black, participated in a panel entitled "Women in Business and Sport" at Future of Sport, an event dedicated to the "positive transformation of sport" in Hall 2 at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. Black was joined by former Liverpool FC player Luis Garcia and Kirsty Leivers, global head of culture, inclusion and diversity at AXA (insurance), official partner of Liverpool FC since 2018.
