Equipment suppliers: Richard Teyssier (FRA) named global brand & marketing director at Puma

Frenchman Richard Teyssier has been appointed global brand and marketing director at Puma, announced the German manufacturer on 14/06/2023. He will take up his post on 01/07/2023 and will report directly to Arne Freundt, who has been CEO of Puma since the end of 2022 and the departure of Bjørn Gulden, who became CEO of adidas AG on 01/01/2023.

This appointment comes as part of the reorganisation of Puma's brand management and marketing operations departments, which will move from Boston (Massachusetts, USA) to Herzogenaurach (GER), Puma's headquarters, as of 01/07/2023, in order "to improve alignment across key business categories and accelerate decision-making."

Richard Teyssier, CEO of Puma France between 2012 and 2021 (he joined Puma in 2010), was appointed head of the group's European markets in September 2021. He will now succeed Adam Petrick, who has been with Puma since 2000 and "has decided to not transition to Herzogenaurach, but to pursue new challenges outside of Puma." Petrick will remain with Puma until the end of 2023.
