Getafe CF: Coliseum Alfonso Pérez renovation project unveiled, delivery expected in summer 2026

Getafe CF (LaLiga Santander) will present its plans for the renovation and expansion of the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez to Getafe City Council (ESP) in September or October 2023, and hope to start work on increasing its capacity to 20,000 (from the current 16,996) in March or April 2024, according to Ángel Torres, president of the club, on 13/06/2023.

The total duration of the works is estimated by the club to take 27 months, with delivery expected in the summer of 2026, before the beginning of the 2026-27 season. As well as increasing the stadium's capacity, the project includes a complete covering of the stands.

The club from Madrid's southern suburbs occupies the stadium under a long-term lease that expires in 2062. Getafe CF pay an annual rent of €150,000 for the use of the stadium.

At the same time, the construction of a new 2,000-capacity stadium within the club's training centre will begin in September 2023, with the aim of hosting reserve and youth team matches.
