Serie A TIM/post-2024 TV rights: private negotiations with three broadcasters on 26/06/2023

"The Lega Serie A assembly, as required by the call for tenders and as was the case for previous cycles, has unanimously decided not to accept any of the offers submitted and to schedule a private negotiation phase to be held on 26/06/2023," announced the Italian body after the call for tenders for the domestic broadcasting rights to the Serie A TIM from the 2024-25 season went unsuccessful, despite bids from three broadcasters, on 16/06/2023. The three broadcasters are the OTT platform DAZN, the private Italian group Mediaset and the pay-TV operator Sky Italia (which confirmed that it would take part in the tender on 06/06/2023), according to the Italian media.

"Should these private negotiations not be successful, the Lega Serie A will, at its general assembly on 27/06/2023, open the bids received from six parties in the call for tenders for the marketing and distribution of the Serie A channel, which will be followed by a negotiation phase with these same six parties," said the Italian league.
