LaLiga, in collaboration with the US manufacturer and distributor of licensed sports products Fanatics, is to launch its first online store for the sale of licensed shirts, training gear and accessories, announced the Spanish body on 19/06/2023.

Both parties have entered into "a wide-ranging omnichannel retail and manufacturing partnership," which will see the official LaLiga e-commerce platform be launched worldwide in the summer of 2023, before the start of the 2023-24 season.

The online store was created using Fanatics' cloud commerce platform (CCP), which is already used by over 900 global sports organisations including Manchester United FC (Premier League), Chelsea FC (Premier League), Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 Uber Eats), Club Atlético de Madrid (LaLiga Santander), the FA, UEFA, the French Football Federation (FFF), the NFL, the NBA, the NHL and Formula One Group.

  • Fanatics was valued at $31bn (€28.3bn) following a fundraising of around $700m (€640m) by Californian investment firm Clearlake Capital, which is also part of the consortium behind the takeover of Chelsea FC
