Italy / Serie A TIM: 477.1 million viewers watched the 2022-23 season (Auditel)

Matches of the 2022-23 Serie A TIM season drew a total of 477.1 million viewers, according to data from the audience measurement institute Auditel communicated by the Italian website Calcio e Finanza on 19/06/2023, compared to 169.6 million in 2021-22 and 242 million in 2020-21.

These figures measured by Auditel include television and smart TV broadcasts as well as DAZN's audiences on other devices, which is a first this season and accounts for the increase over previous years. The Italian Communications Regulatory Authority (AGCOM) had announced that the OTT platform would be using the audiences measured by Auditel from the 2022-23 season onwards, on 20/07/2022.

The audience figures communicated by DAZN for the 2021-22 season were provided by the American institute Nielsen, but AGCOM had decided on 31/01/2022 that those of Auditel would be used as a reference for the distribution of TV rights between Serie A TIM clubs for the 2021-22 season.
