3.Bundesliga: €164.5m in revenues and €3.9m net profit in 2013-14

The 20 clubs of the 3.Liga (German third division) have accumulated €164.5m in revenues (excluding transfer activities) and a net profit of €3.9m in the 2013-14 season, showed the DFB (Deutscher Fußball-Bund, the German Football Federation), organiser of the competition, on 02/12/2014. The federation thus confirms information published yesterday in the "Finanzreport deutscher Profisportligen 2014" ("2014 Financial Report of the German professional sports leagues") by the audit firm Deloitte.

The combined revenues of the 3.Liga are up 37% according to Deloitte (€120.1m in 2012-13). This is the first time since its launch in 2008-09 that the third German professional division recorded a net profit. The 3.Liga recorded a net loss of €20.9m in 2012-13.

3.Liga: the stadium attendance rising, presence of RB Leipzig in the division in 2013-14
