OL Groupe: €53m share buyback (10.24% stake) launched by Eagle Football

"Eagle Football, which currently holds 80.09% of the share capital and 79.11% of the theoretical voting rights of OL Groupe on a non-diluted basis, has filed today a simplified cash tender offer for the shares of OL Groupe (excluding those held by Holnest, family office of Jean-Michel Aulas), at a price of €3 per share," announced the holding company that owns Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1 Uber Eats), which is now majority-owned by Eagle Football on 22/06/2023, following approval of the transaction by OL Groupe's board of directors on the previous day.

"Subjet to the AMF's decision, which will assess its compliance with applicable laws and regulations, the offer is expected to open in July 2023," said OL Groupe. This transaction involves 17,610,237 shares (10.24%) for a total of almost €53m, which values 100% of OL Groupe's shares at €528m.

"Eagle Football does not intend to request a squeeze-out of the OL Groupe shares following the offer, hence, OL Groupe will remain a publicly listed company," added the company that owns Olympique Lyonnais, of which American John Textor became CEO…
