LaLiga: collaboration agreement with Liga Portugal renewed until 2027

LaLiga and Liga Portugal are renewing their collaboration agreement, initially signed in September 2017, which will see the two leagues "work together for the development of football, with a closer link between clubs and their professionals" until 2027, announced the Spanish body on 22/06/2023.

"The agreement provides for, among other things, an exchange of information and knowledge between the two leagues, the holding of conferences and workshops with the participation of speakers on subjects such as sports management, marketing, financial administration, security and audiovisual operations."

In addition, the following have been announced:
• An academic collaboration between Liga Portugal Business School and LaLiga Business School and the joint use of offices as part of the two leagues' internationalisation projects;
• The organisation of a Talent Legends tournament between legends from the two leagues;
• two editions of the Iberian Cup, including one dedicated to esports;
• A joint fight against match-fixing and piracy;
• A commitment to eradicating racism in football.
