Premier League: W88 (sports betting), main shirt sponsor of promoted side Burnley FC for 2023-24

W88, a sports betting and online gambling operator based in Asia, has become the main shirt sponsor of Burnley FC for the 2023-24 season, announced the newly promoted Premier League club on 28/06/2023. The agreement covers the club's men's and women's teams.

W88 succeeds British shirt resale platform Classic Football Shirts, Burnley's main shirt sponsor in 2022-23. The sports betting operator was also the main shirt sponsor of another Premier League club, Fulham FC, during the 2022-23 season. This agreement was not renewed for 2023-24 and W88 was replaced by bookmaker Sbotop, via an agreement also signed on 28/06/2023.

Main shirt sponsorship by sports betting operators will be banned in the Premier League from the 2026-27 season. Eight of the 20 clubs (40%) in the English league displayed a bookmaker on the front of their shirt in 2022-23.
