Turkey: TTNet acquires all of the 2015-2018 broadcast rights for the European Cups

The Turkish telecom group TTNet, property of Türk Telecom, acquired all of the 2015-2018 broadcast rights in Turkey of the Champions League and the Europa League on 26/11/2014. The matches, as well as magazines and summaries of fixtures, will be broadcast on its Internet pay-TV platform, Tivibu.

TTNet also entered into a co-broadcasting agreement with the Turkish public broadcaster TRT group. A fixture of the Champions League on Tuesday night, a match of Europa League on Thursday night, and the final of both competitions will be broadcast on TRT.

The rights held by TRT also include the summaries of the matches played on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The rights are valid for all broadcast platforms (television, Internet, mobile devices).

  • The 2012-2015 broadcast rights for the European Cups are held in Turkey by the Dogan Group. All the matches are broadcast on the pay-TV platform DSmart.
  • A fixture of the Champions League on Tuesday night, a match of the Europa League on Thursday night, and the final of both competitions are co-broadcasted by the private free-TV channels Star TV and NTV.
