LaLiga: 3^rd and penultimate payment (€482m) from CVC received as part of LaLiga Impulso

"LaLiga has today received, as was agreed, the injection of €482m that corresponds to the third payment (of four) stipulated in the deal with CVC, which will begin to be distributed to the clubs participating in LaLiga Impulso," announced the Spanish professional football league on 29/06/2023.

LaLiga Impulso is an economic development programme based on an agreement between LaLiga and its clubs (with the exception of Athletic Club Bilbao, FC Barcelona, Real Madrid CF and UD Ibiza) and the investment fund CVC Capital Partners. LaLiga Group International, the holding company in charge of its roll-out, was officially created on 01/02/2022. CVC holds 8.2% of the capital for a period of 50 years, in return for a promise to invest a total of more than €1.9bn in Spanish professional football between now and 2024.

"With this instalment, LaLiga has now received a total of €1,447m from the fund, in line with the roadmap set out in the agreement," added the governing body, which will receive the final instalment of around €500m before the end of the 2023-24 season.
