Serie A TIM: adidas succeeds New Balance as equipment supplier of AS Roma from 2023-24

adidas has become the official equipment supplier of AS Roma (Serie A TIM) as part of a "long-term partnership" from the 2023-24 season, announced the club on 03/07/2023. The agreement covers all the club's teams (men's, women's, youth and esports).

The German brand succeeds New Balance, which has been the Italian club's equipment supplier since the 2021-22 season under an agreement worth an estimated €3.5m per season. Announced by the Italian press as early as July 2022, the non-renewal of this agreement by AS Roma was the subject of legal proceedings brought by the American brand, as the contract binding the two parties included a pre-emption clause obliging the club to extend it in the event of an offer equivalent to that of a third party from New Balance. New Balance took the matter to the International Chamber of Commerce in January 2023, before the court finally ruled in favour of AS Roma on 17/02/2023, allowing the club to enter into a partnership with adidas.
