Social media/LaLiga Santander: 146.5 million additional followers for the 20 clubs in 2022-23

The 20 clubs that participated in the 2022-23 LaLiga Santander have a total of nearly 799 million followers on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and Twitter as of 02/07/2023, up 146.5 million from 01/08/2022, according to data compiled by News Tank Football. The Spanish league has an average of approximately 39.9 million followers per club.

Spanish clubs posted the best growth in absolute value on social networks, well ahead of the Premier League (+119.7 million), Serie A TIM (+47.7 million), Ligue 1 Uber Eats (+27.6 million) and the Bundesliga (25.1 million). This sharp increase is due in particular to the deployment of the strategic LaLiga Impulso project since January 2022, created to stimulate the global growth of the Spanish League and its clubs, including in terms of digital development.
