Social media/Serie A TIM: 14.6 million additional followers for Juventus FC in 2022-23

The 20 clubs that participated in the 2022-23 Serie A TIM have a total of 318.7 million followers on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and Twitter as of 02/07/2023, up 47.7 million from 01/08/2022, according to data compiled by News Tank Football. The Italian league has an average of approximately 15.9 million followers per club.

Juventus FC is the club with the most followers, with 137.4 million, including 14.6 million new followers over the season (+11.9%). The Turin club is ahead of AC Milan, the 2^nd most popular club with 62.2 million followers, including 8.7 million new followers (+16.3%). FC Inter Milan is in third place with 54.4 million (+20%). 

In terms of absolute value growth between August 2022 and July 2023, Juventus FC, with 80% of their new fans coming from TikTok, are also in first place, ahead of Inter and AC Milan.

Regarding percentage growth, the biggest increase was posted by promoted side AC Monza, whose online community has grown by +106.1% since 01/08/2022, followed by US Salernitana 1919 (+88.7%) and SSC Napoli (+52.8%), the 2022-23 Serie A TIM champions.
