Women's Euro 2022 / England: a total economic impact of £81m (€94m) for the eight host cities

The Women's Euro 2022 generated economic activity of £81m (approximately €94m) across the eight cities that hosted the tournament in England (Brighton & Hove, London, Manchester, Milton Keynes, Rotherham, Sheffield, Southampton and Wigan & Leigh), according to a report produced by Ernst and Young (EY, English auditing firm) and published by UEFA and The Football Association on 06/07/2023 (document available to download).

Among the other key figures in this document on the legacy of Women's Euro 2022:
• the tournament supported 1,200 full-time equivalent jobs across the host cities;
• the average stadium attendance figures increased by 23% in the Women's Champions League (for a total of 681,175 spectators, i.e. 11,166 per game), by 172% in the Barclays Women's Super League (over 680,000 spectators) and by 231% in the Google Pixel Frauen-Bundesliga in 2022-23, compared to the 2021-22 season;
