Austria/ÖFB: Klaus Mitterdorfer unanimously elected president of the Football Federation until 2025

"The ÖFB (Österreichischer Fußball-Bund / Austrian Football Association) has a new president: Klaus Mitterdorfer was unanimously elected to the highest position of the country's largest sports association at an extraordinary Federal General Assembly held in Salzburg on 08/07/2023. The electoral commission had decided to select him as the sole candidate for the role at the end of April 2023. He will serve until 2025," announced the Austrian Football Association on 10/07/2023.

Klaus Mitterdorfer, born on 22/09/1965, succeeds Johann Gartner, who became interim president in February 2023 following the resignation of Gerhard Milletich in January 2023 (2021-2023).

"Being president of the ÖFB is both a great honour and an exciting challenge, which I am delighted to take on and which I will fulfil and live up to with great commitment, passion, heart and respect," said Klaus Mitterdorfer following his election.
