Wimbledon 2023: a record 54.3 million streams on BBC platforms

The BBC achieved a streaming audience record for the 2023 edition of the Wimbledon Grand Slam (played from 03 to 16/07/2023) with a total of 54.3 million views (compared with 53.8 million in 2022) on the BBC iPlayer platform and BBC Sport online (website and app), announced the public broadcasting group on 17/07/2023.

On television, a total of 25.6 million viewers watched the Wimbledon tournament on BBC Group channels in 2023, compared with 25.5 million in 2022.

• The men's final, won by Spain's Carlos Alcaraz versus Serbia's Novak Djokovic (1-6, 7-6, 6-1, 3-6, 6-4), posted a peak audience of 11.3 million viewers on BBC One (7.5 million in 2022). This was the best audience since 2016 (peak of 13.3 million on BBC One for Great Britain's Andy Murray's victory over Canada's Milos Raonic). The match totalled 4.1 million live views on the BBC's online platforms.

• The women's final, won by Czech Markéta Vondroušová versus Tunisia's Ons Jabeur (6-4, 6-4), reached a peak audience of 4.5 million viewers on BBC One (3.1 million in 2022). The match also drew 1.3 million views on BBC platforms.
