Women's World Cup 2023: 72% of participating teams equipped by Nike (13) or adidas (10)

With 13 national associations/federations under contract, Nike is the most represented equipment manufacturer among the 32 teams taking part in the Women's World Cup 2023 in Australia and New Zealand (from 20/07 to 20/08/2023), ahead of adidas (10 teams). Between them, the two brands equip 72% of the teams in the competition (23 out of 32).

Far behind, Puma completes the podium with two national teams under contract: Switzerland and Morocco. A total of 10 brands are represented among the 32 participating teams: Nike, adidas and Puma, as well as Castore (GBR, with Ireland), Hummel (DEN, with Denmark), Le Coq Sportif (FRA, with South Africa), Reebok (USA, with Panama), Grand Sport (THA, with Vietnam), KoPa (Football Association of Zambia's own brand) and Saeta (COL, with Haiti).

These 10 equipment suppliers pay a total of €328.5m to the participating teams (20 known amounts), an average of €19m per federation. The three most lucrative contracts are those between Nike and the CBF (€57.2m/season) and the Fédération Française de Football (€50.5m/season), and adidas and the DFB (€50m/year)…
