Rugby Sevens: HSBC extends as title sponsor of "SVNS" the new format for the World Rugby circuit

HSBC, a British bank, has extended its partnership with World Rugby as title sponsor of the men's and women's Rugby 7s circuits, which are changing format and name, becoming the "HSBC SVNS" instead of the "HSBC Sevens Series", announced the world governing body on 18/07/2023. This partnership renewal covers four seasons (2023-2027).

This new format, which is expected to "grow fans and revenues" for the international rugby sevens circuit, was presented on 30/11/2022. HSBC SVNS takes the form of "a rugby event, festival and a must-attend experience" set in eight cities (Dubai - United Arab Emirates, Cape Town - South Africa, Perth - Australia, Vancouver - Canada, Los Angeles - United States, Hong Kong, Singapore and Madrid - Spain) from 02/12/2023 to 02/04/2024.

HSBC has been World Rugby's Rugby Sevens partner since 2010. "Over a 12-year partnership, HSBC has been integral to the growth of the sport by championing the women's game, putting over 558,962 individuals through grassroots programmes and helping drive expansion to new markets," explained World Rugby.
