The International Tennis Federation (ITF) has posted a turnover of $98.3m (€92m) for the financial year 2022 (01/01 to 31/12/2022), 47.6% more than in 2021, announced the world body in its 2022 annual report published on 19/07/2023.

This result is 10.8% higher than that generated in 2019 ($88.7m, or €79.1m), the last year before the calendar was turned upside down due to the Covid-19 pandemic. "The Covid-19 pandemic, cost the international federation $75.2m (€66.4m) in revenues over two years," explained the ITF when it presented its results for 2021 on 25/08/2022.

The ITF increased after-tax profits to $13.9m (€13m) in 2022, compared with a deficit of $8.3m (€7.3m) in 2021 due to the pandemic. "The ITF maintains significant reserves as part of underpinning its financial sustainability and for use on strategic projects and investments where necessary. As of 31/12/2022, these totalled $40.2m (€37.6m)," said the Federation.
