FIFA Women's World Cup 2023: first edition with 32 teams from 20/07 to 20/08/2023

32 national teams are taking part in the ninth edition of the FIFA Women's World Cup, co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand from 20/07 to 20/08/2023. This is the first time that so many teams have taken part in the competition, following a 12-team format in 1991 and 1995, 16 in 1999, 2003, 2007 and 2011, then 24 in 2015 and 2019 (edition organised in France).

The United States, two-time reigning world champions (2015 and 2019, 4 titles in total), will meet the Netherlands, finalists at the 2019 edition, in Group E. The first and second-placed teams in each of the eight groups of four will qualify for the Round of 16.

The 64 matches of the Women's World Cup 2023 will take place in nine cities and 10 stadiums.
