Premier League: long-term partnership renewed with the video game EA Sports FC (formerly FIFA)

EA Sports FC (formerly known as FIFA), an American video game belonging to the Electronic Arts group, has renewed its partnership with the Premier League as part of a "multi-year" agreement, according to the English league on 20/07/2023.

The renewed agreement "will see all 20 Premier League clubs - including every club, player, manager, stadium, kit and more - authentically represented in-game. The partnership also includes a long-term commitment for the Premier League and EA Sports to work together on the creation of community programmes, including school football initiatives and investment into grassroots facilities, with the launch of EA Sports FC Futures," explained the League.

The game has the status of "lead partner and official licensee" the first level in the Premier League's sponsorship hierarchy. "EA Sports has been a lead partner of the Premier League since the 2016-17 season, while the licensing agreement with the League for its popular football video game series goes back to the 1998-99 campaign," said the body.
