Liverpool FC: expansion work on Anfield stadium will begin in early 2015

The renovation of Anfield Stadium (capacity 45,500) will officially begin in early 2015, announced Liverpool FC (Barclays Premier League) on 05/12/2014.

The construction will begin with the extension of the Main Stand from 12,600 to 21,000 seats. This development will bring the total capacity of the chamber to 54,000 seats. The club plans to complete the first phase of work during the 2016-17 season. The club will play at Anfield during the renovation. A second phase, for which the timing has not been announced, will bring the overall stadium capacity to 58,800 seats.
