United States - Vietnam (3-0), on Matchday 1 in Group E of the Women's World Cup 2023 (in Australia and New Zealand from 20/07 to 20/08/2023), drew an average of 6.26 million viewers on the channels of the television groups Fox Sports (English language) and Telemundo (Spanish language, owned by the American audiovisual group NBCUniversal) in the United States, on Friday 21/07/2023 (kick-off at 21:00 ET, 18:00 PT), according to data from the American institute Nielsen communicated by Fox.

The match drew an average of 5.26 million viewers on Fox's channels, while the match was watched by an average of one million viewers on Telemundo's channels. "It is the largest combined English- and Spanish-language audience for a US women's group stage match," explained Fox.

The pay and free TV group Fox extended its English-language rights to broadcast the Women's and Men's World Cups until 2026 in the United States, on 12/02/2015. The American media and entertainment conglomerate NBCUniversal holds the same Spanish-language rights for its subsidiary Telemundo.
