"The stadium is great, but I saw the contract that the club has with it; is it possible to have a healthy club? I'm not sure. I first want to look at and analyse everything (before launching a takeover bid of LOSC Lille),: said the Belgian businessman Marc Coucke, a minority shareholder now holding 5% LOSC Lille (Ligue 1) on 01/12/2014. "In France, Lille is my club preferred. I find that there is something there, the stadium, the public. I get along beautifully with Michel Seydoux (club president). I feel good in Lille," said Marc Coucke.

"This club can do much better. But I do not know if I, personally, have the time and opportunity to invest. We're talking about a club with a budget of €75m. Therefore, I can not say I'll do it (takeover bid). If I say I will (and then don't), there are 30,000 season ticket holders who will say 'You promised us something else'. Therefore, I really do not know what I'll do," said the businessman, on the programme 'The Tribune' on the Belgian channel RTBF.
