Rugby World Cup 2023: beIN Media Group acquires broadcasting rights for 10 countries in Asia

beIN Media Group has acquired the full and exclusive broadcasting rights for ten territories in Asia for the Rugby World Cup 2023 (to be held in France from 08/09 to 28/10/2023), announced the Qatari pay-TV group on 26/07/2023.

The territories concerned are Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia, East Timor, the Philippines, Thailand, Laos and Cambodia. The group also held the rights to broadcast the Rugby World Cup 2019 in these markets (excluding Brunei).

beIN will launch the "beIN Sports Rugby" channel to coincide with the event. "beIN Sports Rugby will broadcast from 01/09 to 05/11/2023. The channel will be available on select pay-TV platforms in the region and beIN Sports Connect. Leading up to the tournament, fans will be treated to round-the-clock rugby programmes featuring the greatest moments, best tries, and near hits and misses from the past Rugby World Cups," explained the group.
