FC Sochaux: "We have a decisive role in the takeover project" (C. Demouge, PMA)

Pays de Montbéliard Agglomération (PMA, an intercommunal structure, centred on the city of Montbéliard, FRA), which comprises 72 municipalities, has made a written commitment to support the proposed takeover of FC Sochaux-Montbéliard by Romain Peugeot and a network of investors backed by local authorities, announced Charles Demouge, president of the local authority, which has a population of 142,000, on 27/07/2023.

"According to the project leader, in addition to the financial contributions from private investors, this letter was the decisive factor in finalising negotiations to reach an agreement with the Nenking group (the club's Chinese owner since 2020)," stated the elected representative.

Pays de Montbéliard Agglomération owns the Stade Bonal (20,000 capacity, in Montbéliard, Doubs), where FC Sochaux plays, as well as the training centre in Seloncourt (Doubs).
