Tour de France 2023: record streaming figures in Europe on Warner Bros. Discovery channels

Warner Bros. Discovery, parent company of the pay-TV group Eurosport, posted record streaming figures on its digital channels in Europe, announced the media and entertainment conglomerate on 27/07/2023.

Among the figures communicated by Warner Bros. Discovery:

• 12% increase in unique viewers on streaming platforms compared to 2022 (Eurosport and Discovery+)

• 36% increase in viewers following the event on the Discovery+ platform in ten European markets compared to 2022 (Austria, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, United Kingdom and Ireland)

• 45% increase in video consumption on Eurosport.com compared to 2022

• 23% increase in the number of unique visitors to Eurosport's local language sites in Europe compared with 2022

• Eurovision Sport, a subsidiary of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU; an alliance of public service media organisations present in 56 European countries), extended its rights to broadcast the Tour de France to 17/02/2020.
