FC Sochaux: Nenking Group sells the club for a symbolic €1, R. Peugeot to appear before the CNOSF

Nenking Group and Romain Peugeot have signed an agreement for the definitive departure of the Chinese group from FC Sochaux-Montbéliard on 28/07/2023, according to regional public radio station France Bleu Belfort-Montbéliard on 30/07/2023.

This is yet another development as the club, which was relegated to National 1 by the DNCG (first instance on 28/06, then on appeal on 11/07/2023), is due to appear before the CNOSF on Monday 31/07/2023 at 14:00 CET.

Nenking Group pledged to provide €4m to save the club from relegation on 26/07/2023. The very next day, however, it announced that it would not be providing the sum, preferring instead to sell the club to Romain Peugeot for a symbolic €1.

It is therefore the great-grandson of Jean-Pierre Peugeot (the founder of FC Sochaux-Montbéliard in 1928) who will represent the club before the French National Olympic Committee.
