Women's World Cup 2023: Gianni Infantino (FIFA) visits Oceania's 11 national associations

Gianni Infantino, president of FIFA, is taking advantage of the Women's World Cup 2023 being held in Australia and New Zealand from 20/07 to 20/08/2023 to visit the 11 national associations that come under the OFC (listed below), as promised at the Oceania Football Confederation's congress in Auckland (NZL) on 19/07/2023, on the eve of the opening match between New Zealand and Norway (1-0).

"OFC has come a long way, into modernity and we work together to make sure in future football will prosper even more in your countries. The World Cup being played here, connecting it with the grassroots of the game being played in your countries, is exactly the link we need to take on board and foster to make it prosper," said Infantino during the congress.

After New Zealand, where the OFC congress was held, Gianni Infantino began his Pacific tour in Tahiti. He then travelled to the Cook Islands, American Samoa and Samoa, visiting the infrastructure financed through FIFA's Forward development programme.
