UEFA: Juventus FC (Serie A TIM) excluded from the 2023-24 Europa Conference League & will not appeal

"The CFCB First Chamber concluded that Juventus FC (Serie A TIM) violated the UEFA’s regulatory framework and breached the settlement agreement signed in August 2022. As a result, the CFCB First Chamber terminated the settlement agreement concluded with the club and decided: to exclude Juventus from the 2023-24 UEFA men's club competition; and to impose an additional financial contribution of €20m on the club (which could be reduced to €10m)," announced the European body on 28/07/2023.

The club finished the Serie A TIM season in 7^th place (with a 10-point penalty for accounting fraud) and would have qualified for the Europa Conference League. ACF Fiorentina, who finished 8^th in 2022-23, will take their place in the European competition.

UEFA's decision follows an investigation opened during the 2022-23 season into potential breaches of the licensing and financial fair play regulations.
