BT Group: Allison Kirkby to replace Philip Jansen as CEO by "the end of January 2024 at the latest"

Allison Kirkby (SCO) has been appointed CEO of BT Group (co-owner with Warner Bros. Discovery of the pay-TV group TNT Sports) and will take up this position "around the end of January 2024 at the latest," announced the British telecommunications operator on 31/07/2023. She will replace Philip Jansen, who has held the position since February 2019.

"Allison has been president & CEO of Telia Company (Swedish telecoms group) since early 2020. She moved into the TMT sector in 2010, initially joining Virgin Media, and was most recently president & CEO of TDC (Danish telecoms operator, 2018-2020), the largest telecommunications company in Denmark, and president & CEO of Tele2 AB (Swedish telecoms operator, 2015-2018). Earlier in her career she held a number of financial and operational roles at Procter & Gamble (1990-2010) and qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant in 1990 whilst at Guinness plc. Allison has been a non-executive director at BT Group since 2019," explained the operator.
