France/5-a-side Football: launch of a National Association created in 2022 to "structure the sport"

"The French National 5-a-side Football Association (ANF5) is proud to announce its official launch, marking a new stage in the promotion and development of 5-a-side football in France. The Association's aim is to structure the sport and bring together all those involved around their shared passion," announced the structure, which was created in 2022 by the three existing networks Convisports, Le Five and Urbansoccer, along with the Union Sport & Cycle, on 31/07/2023.

"This fun and sporting activity, inspired by football and played on adapted pitches with limited contact and surrounded by walls, embodies the pleasure of playing, conviviality and fair play. Since 2005, it has grown in France thanks to the establishment of private centres throughout the country, which they have supported by organising numerous competitions," explained the National Association.
