Ligue 2 BKT: FC Annecy reinstated by the LFP in place of FC Sochaux

"Pursuant to article 520 of the LFP's administrative regulations, the league's board of directors, which met on Thursday 03/08/2023, has reinstated FC Annecy in Ligue 2 BKT for the 2023-24 season, replacing FC Sochaux-Montbéliard, administratively relegated following the decisions of the DNCG (at first instance on 28/06, then on appeal on 11/07/2023), confirmed by the CNOSF (on 01/08/2023)," announced the Ligue de Football Professionnel on 03/08/2023 (at 20:33 CET).

The League was careful to point out, however, that its decision could still be challenged by the Paris Administrative Court, which FC Sochaux had appealed to the previous day with a suspensive injunction: "The board of directors has made it possible for FC Annecy to be relegated unless the interim relief judge issues an order in favour of FC Sochaux before the resumption of the Ligue 2 BKT championship (Saturday 05/08/2023 at 15:00 CET), in which case the board will meet again to review the situation."
