Women's World Cup 2023: an average of 25,476 spectators during the 48 group matches (+29%)

An average of 25,476 spectators attended the 48 matches in the group stage (from 20/07 to 03/08/2023) of the Women's World Cup 2023 held in Australia and New Zealand from 20/07 to 20/08/2023, announced FIFA on 04/08/2023. This average is 29% higher than that recorded at the same stage of the competition, during the previous edition in France in 2019.

The International Federation and the local organising committee set several records for a women's competition organised by FIFA:
