Ticketing: CTS Eventim to acquire a further 17% of France Billet

CTS Eventim "has informed Fnac Darty that it will exercise its call option to acquire an additional 17% stake in France Billet", making it the majority shareholder in the ticketing service, announced the German group specialised in ticketing and event organisation on 02/08/2023.

CTS Eventim already holds a 48% stake in the ticketing service. Its new acquisition would increase its stake in France Billet to 65%. FNAC Darty would become a 35% shareholder, but would "continue to actively support the ticketing business in France through its sales outlets and the Fnac Spectacle brand," according to the French group. The transaction, which is "expected to take place in a few months", is "subject to approval by the competition authorities" and "consultation with employee representatives."

This proposed acquisition was part of the "strategic partnership" signed between the two parties in November 2019, aimed at "strengthening France Billet's development." On that occasion, the German group had acquired 48% of France Billet's shares, and France Billet 100% of CTS Eventim France's capital…
