AS Saint-Étienne: "Le Centre" a documentary "about players' attachment to a club" (C.Tupin, Paraíso)

"What interested us most were the players' interactions with, for example, the night watchmen, the steward and so on. This tells us more about their attachment to a club than training footage, which we obviously also had to capture," said Clarisse Tupin, producer at Paraíso Production, to News Tank Football on 03/08/2023.

The audiovisual production company has presented "Le Centre", a 52-minute documentary film directed by Alexandre Donot and Raphaël Rivière that follows the day-to-day life of AS Saint-Étienne's (Ligue 2 BKT) training centre during the 2021-22 season.

"The idea was to make the public aware of the situation of these young people, who are often uprooted and under enormous pressure, and who are rebuilding emotional ties. It was very significant for us, because we're talking to football fans, but also to those who are a little less interested and who don't have all the codes," added Tupin.
