Newcastle United FC: Jonathan Kane (ex-Liverpool FC) appointed director of partnerships

Jonathan Kane has been appointed director of partnerships at Newcastle United FC (Premier League), announced the English club on 04/08/2023.

With previous experience including IMG and Liverpool FC (Premier League), Kane "will work closely with the club's chief commercial officer, Peter Silverstone, to drive ambitious commercial growth plans, as well as overseeing relations with the club's growing family of commercial partners and directing an ongoing global search for future partnerships," explained Newcastle United.

"I am excited to be joining Newcastle United, particularly at a time of unprecedented growth for the club," said Jonathan Kane. Bought by an investment group led by the Public Investment Fund (PIF, Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund) in October 2021, Newcastle finished fourth in the 2022-23 Premier League table and therefore qualified for the group stage of the 2023-24 Champions League for the first time since 2003.
