Premier League: all you need to know about the 20 clubs participating in the 2023-24 season

Manchester City FC, winners of the last three editions of the English top flight (2020-21, 2021-22 and 2022-23), will be putting their title on the line again when the 2023-24 Premier League season kicks off on Friday 11/08/2023.

The Manchester club will be looking to retain their trophy against a host of ambitious opponents, starting with their runners-up in 2022-23, Arsenal FC. Manchester United FC and Newcastle United FC will accompany these two teams into the group stage of the Champions League, a competition won in 2022-23 by Manchester City. Liverpool FC and Brighton & Hove Albion FC have qualified for the group stage of the Europa League, as has West Ham United FC, on the back of their final victory in the 2022-23 Europa Conference League. Aston Villa FC will have to get past the play-offs to qualify for the group stage of the 2023-24 edition of Europe's newest cup competition.
