Ligue 1 Uber Eats: all you need to know about the 18 clubs participating in the 2023-24 season

Paris Saint-Germain, winners of the last two editions of the French championship (2021-22 and 2022-23), are putting their title on the line again from Friday 11/08/2023, when the 2023-24 Ligue 1 Uber Eats season kicks off.

This season sees Ligue 1 return to 18 clubs, something that has not happened since 2001-02. The Ligue 1 Uber Eats will therefore welcome only two new clubs, who were directly promoted at the end of the 2022-23 Ligue 2 BKT season: Le Havre AC (champions), who had not competed in the top flight since 2008-09, and FC Metz (2^nd), who were relegated to Ligue 2 at the end of the 2021-22 season.

After a 2022-23 season featuring four relegations and two direct promotions, the Ligue 1 Uber Eats play-offs will return at the end of the 2023-24 season, with a two-legged tie scheduled on Thursday 30/05 and Sunday 02/06/2023, pitting the 16^th-placed team in Ligue 1 against the winner of the Ligue 2 BKT play-offs (in which the third, fourth and fifth-placed teams will compete).
