United States: 25.2 million subscribers for ESPN+ (OTT) on 01/07/2023 (-100,000 in 3 months)

ESPN+, the OTT sports platform launched on 12/04/2018 in the United States, had 25.2 million subscribers on 01/07/2023, a drop of 100,000 subscribers since 01/04/2023, according to quarterly results published by The Walt Disney Company, parent company of the ESPN sports pay-TV bouquet, on 09/08/2023.

The platform is available for a monthly fee of $9.99 (€9). Disney+, the group's other OTT platform launched on 12/11/2019, alone had 146.1 million subscribers worldwide on 01/07/2023 (-11.7 million subscribers since 01/04/2023, -15.7 million since 31/12/2022). The monthly (ad-free) subscription to Disney+ will also increase to $13.99 (€12.70) on 12/10/2023, compared with $10.99 (same price in euros) at present.

The American media and entertainment conglomerate posted revenues of $22.33bn (€20.34bn) in the third quarter of the 2023 financial year, up 3.9% on Q3 2022 ($21.5bn/€19.6bn).
