DFL: Marcus Beisiegel (media) & Vito Esposito (institutional relations) appointed vice-presidents

Marcus Beisiegel and Vito Esposito have been appointed senior vice-presidents of the Deutsche Fußball Liga, with responsibility for "audiovisual rights and media product" and "institutional and political relations & regulation" respectively, announced the German professional football league on 10/08/2023. Both men will officially take up their new positions on 01/09/2023.

Marcus Beisiegel, who has been with the DFL since 2012, succeeds Steffen Merkel, who is now the league's co-CEO, to whom he will report directly. In particular, "he will be responsible for the German-language media rights tender as well as national and international product management."

As for Vito Esposito, who joined the German League in 2014, he will head a new department dedicated to institutional, political and regulatory issues, while also being in charge of public affairs and rights protection which are "to be stepped up further to strengthen the media product." The former head of legal affairs will report directly to Marc Lenz, co-CEO of the DFL.
