Sponsorship: major changes among the 20 Premier League clubs for the 2023-24 season

With five clubs under contract (25%), Umbro is the most represented of the eight brands supplying the 20 clubs participating in the 2023-24 Premier League (compared with seven brands in 2022-23). The English brand, which equipped just three clubs last season, is ahead of adidas and Nike, with four clubs each.

Two contracts expire at the end of 2023-24 (Everton FC's with Hummel and Umbro's with Luton Town FC), while only one is starting this season: an agreement between Nottingham Forest FC and adidas.

The total value of the Premier League clubs' equipment supplier contracts is €437.7m (out of 15 known amounts), or an average of €29.2m. Two of the three most lucrative contracts were signed by adidas, with Arsenal FC (2019-2024, €68.3m/season) and Manchester United FC. The latter, which began in 2015-16, has been extended for a further 10 seasons (2025-2035) and upgraded to €104.8m per year over the new cycle. The agreement between Puma and Manchester City FC, valued at €83.5m per year, is the second most lucrative.
