2023-24 Ligue 1 Uber Eats/Matchday 1: record fill rate of 91.2% & average of 26,424 spectators/game

Matchday 1 of the 2023-24 Ligue 1 Uber Eats season, which marks the return of the French Championship to 18 clubs, drew an average of 26,424 spectators per game from Friday 11 to Sunday 13/08/2023. The average stadium fill rate was 91.2%, the highest figure achieved by the French top flight since News Tank Football began compiling matchday attendance figures (2016-17 season).

Olympique de Marseille - Stade de Reims (2-1), on Saturday 12/08/2023 (kick-off at 21:00 CET) was the match that posted the best attendance, with 63,787 spectators at the Orange Vélodrome (66,226 capacity), for an average fill rate of 96.3%. Two other games drew more than 30,000 spectators.

The Ligue 1 Uber Eats posted an average of 29,087 spectators per game on Matchday 1 of the 2022-23 season, with an average stadium fill rate of 81.5%.
