Having reached the last four of a Women's World Cup for the first time this summer, Spain face 2003 finalists Sweden in the first semi-final of the Women's World Cup 2023 at Eden Park in Auckland, New Zealand, on Tuesday 15/08/2023 (kick-off at 20:00 local time, 10:00 CET).

The Real Federacion Espanola de Futbol (RFEF) posted a turnover of €347.8m in 2022, with just over 900,000 licensees, including 67,149 women, while the Svenska Fotbollförbundet (SvFF) posted a turnover of €58.5m at the end of the 2021-22 financial year, with 1.31 million licensees, including more than 200,000 female players. Both teams are equipped by adidas.

As a result of their national teams reaching the semi-finals, the RFEF and SvFF are each guaranteed to receive a minimum of $2.45m (€2.24m as of 14/08/2023), according to the prize money scale presented by FIFA ahead of the competition on 08/06/2023.
