UEFA: 17 Italians in the committees & panels formed for the 2023-2027 cycle

17 Italians have been appointed to UEFA's committees and panels for the 2023-2027 cycle, according to the FIGC on 19/07/2023, based on the lists drawn up by the European Confederation on 01/07/2023 (document available to download).

Gabriele Gravina, vice-president of UEFA, is chairmna of the Club Competitions Committee, and two other representatives of Italian football are members of this body:
• Aurelio De Laurentiis, president of SSC Napoli (Serie A TIM).
• Dan Friedkin (USA), president of AS Roma and member of the UEFA Club Competitions SA board (UCC/UEFA subsidiary which deals solely with the commercial aspect of the European Cups).

"A total of 19 committees construct UEFA's policy with regard to the different facets of European football. The committees discuss issues ranging from medical matters and players' status/transfers to refereeing, finance and the UEFA competitions, and submit advice, proposals and recommendations to UEFA's executive committee, which may also delegate some of its duties to a committee," explained the Italian Football Federation.
