Manchester City FC: launch of a messaging service to report discriminatory behavior at the stadium

Manchester City FC (Premier League) have launched a messaging service for spectators to report any discriminatory behaviour, gestures or chanting on matchdays at the Etihad Stadium (Manchester, ENG) on 14/08/2023.

Fans can anonymously report an incident to the club's security department by sending a text message to the dedicated number, quoting their block and row number and detailing the act they witnessed.

"Manchester City is proud to have so many amazing fans who create a positive environment where everyone is welcomed, accepted, and has a fantastic matchday experience. However, there are sometimes a small number of fans who fail to uphold our values and engage in behaviour that is unacceptable. Discriminatory comments, chants, or gestures have no place in football, and we remain committed to working with our fans to eliminate this behaviour," said the 2022-23 English and European champions.
